五. The Great President
As the founderof the republic, the presidenthad many good qualities. Before coming topower, he was a generouslawyer. He was willing toselflesslyhelp everyone who turned tohim. He accepted no feeto offer legalguidanceand opinions to those who were out of workor uneducated. Later, believing allmankindto be equal, he devoted himself tostopping the unfairanti-black laws. He set upthe Black Youth Leagueand was voted to be the leader. However, though he kept peacefulprinciples without violenceand terror, hismeanenemies stillblew uphis house and attacked his relatives, and he himself couldn’t escapebeingsentenced to30 years in prison.
Not fearing of the prison guards’ cruelty, he kept activeand begged no mercy from them. As a matter of fact, he was always hopefuland never lost heartduring the stageeven though he was in trouble.
Finally, people rewarded him with the leader’s position and a gold blanket.

In order to removepeople’s doubt, a team of no less than20 people carried out an informalinvestigation. Theevidencesthey found showed that a maidtook the vase apartand asked a sailorto sinkit in a localwell. She never gave away the secret even under the cruel trialof the enemies who were in search oftreasures.
It is worthgiving this brave maid a fortune in return.
